The International Olive Oil Trade Show 2024 will be held in Verona from Monday 18 to Sunday 24 March at the city’s exhibition centre. It will be an entire week dedicated to extra virgin olive oil, one of the most important foods in the Mediterranean diet.
Sol d’Oro is among the most selective competitions in the world dedicated to evo oil and sees the participation of producers from every continent. The event was created to showcase the best evo oils, judged by a jury of experts.
Over time, it has seen its expansion to an international level and the birth of two editions: one dedicated to the northern hemisphere and one to the southern hemisphere.
The International Olive Oil Trade Show 2024
The competition involves five different categories:
– Extravirgin;
– Monovarietal;
– Organic;
– PDO;
– Absolute Beginners.
For each category, the top three are awarded the Sol d’Oro, Sol d’Argento and Sol di Bronzo prizes.
Evaluations are carried out by a jury of experts including producers, tasters and sector journalists.
Winners can bear the Sol d’Oro stamp and be mentioned in the Le Stelle del Sol d’Oro – The Winners Guide.
The International Olive Oil Trade Show 2024 in Verona, where to stay
